Hello to the family of Ms Dick. I know you don't know me but as I was scanning the obituaries I saw the listing for Ms.Dick. I hoped to write you and be comforting to you.
I know personally that the grief felt can be overwhelming. Whenever I feel like this, I turn to the Bible. A very encouraging scripture is found at John 11:33,35. This is the account when Jesus' dear friend, Lazarus, had died. Notice Jesus reaction to the situation "Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping Lazarus' sister, Mary...groaned in the spirit and became troubled." Also he "gave way to tears." What a display of tender emotion! This scripture tells us two things. First it is normal to grieve, for even Jesus did so. Second, Jesus cares for not only those who have died but cares deeply for those who are grieving the dead loved one. You can be sure he feels the same way about you and your family as well as Ms. Dick.
This was not just merely emotion, though, for it moved Jesus to action. In verses 43 and 44 of John chapter 11 Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead. This way merely a demonstration of what he will do on a far granded scale in our day. John 5:28,29 tells us of this. Please feel free to look that up in your own copy of the bible for it shines light on the hope we have for those who have died. I truly hope that these scriptures have helped you a little. Keep in mind that while the grief you are feeling now is strong, it is only temporary for very soon all our loved ones while be resurrected. Keep trusting in God, always remembering to "throw your burden upon him" and he himself will sustain you. Psalms 55:22.
Thank you so much for your time

We had the pleasure of being neighbors to such a wonderfully caring person. Ms Bobbie was the kindest neighbor and from the moment we moved in across the street from her, she welcomed us with hugs, love and kindess. We will miss her dearly and pray that the family finds comfort in knowing there are so many people who love and adore her. Ms. Bobbie, we will miss meeting you at the mailbox everyday and seeing your beautiful smile and your pleasant hello!
