Mike and Family,
Mr. Royster will be missed so very much. He was a very caring person. He was always there for me when I needed to talk, cry or just let out steam. He would assure me that I would be ok. I will hold those conversations close to my heart always. I love him as if he was part of my family. I know he is riding a beautiful horse right about now, happy as can be. He had a heart bigger that he tried to let on to have. I found that out, just by the way he was always there for me. I just thank god I was one of the lucky people that got to know him. I will miss you Mr. Royster so very much.

Mike,Melanie,Jr.,and April, words cannot begin to describe how sorry I am for your loss. Mr. Royster was like a grandfather to me. We've had our yelling matches and we've had our laughs but through it all we have always had our respect for each other. He will forever be in my heart and in my mind and he will always live on in wifesaver. There is nothing I can say to ease your pain but I just want to thank you, mike, for letting me have the opportunity to be a part of wifesaver and a part of you and your family. You have been there for me at the darkest time in my life when my daughter passed away and I am here for you in your darkest hour. Please let me know if you and your family need anything at all.
All my love
Stacy

Det. Billy Royster,
The loss of your father is being felt by the area law enforcement family as a whole today. His obvious love for you and your entire family was extended by the kindness he showed us all. His pride in you and your profession is what made him proud to adopt us and invite us to a meal with him. I will always remember the appreciation he showed us and pride he took when we accepted his kindness. I pray for you and your family and will miss seeing his smiling face and simple wave at lunch.
