I have only been a member of Pieceful Hearts Quilt Guild a few years, but always enjoyed talking to Gene and looking at whatever pieces she was working on. She was always interested in what others were doing and lots of fun to be with. She will be missed by us all. May God bless you, her family, and give you His peace and comfort.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I knew Gene from Carolina Pine Quilters. She will be missed. I will always remember her fondly as she introduced me to a trick or two while learning to quilt and always her kindness to a novice was appreciated, especially that little wit of hers. We laughed at the way "Southern Ladies" never berate someone, but add with a smile..."bless her heart". I will think of her with a smile. God bless you all.
Gene has been a very dear friend of mine since 1988, the beginning of Pieceful Hearts Quilt Guild. She has been missed by all of us at the bees since she hasn't been able to be there. I will always fondly remember her and all the good times we have had together. She was a wonderful person. God bless and keep you all.
When I first met Gene, she reminded me so much of my own mother, who was a very tiny lady with the same color of hair. I enjoyed talking to her very much at the Pieceful Hearts Quilters Guild meetings. I'm so sorry for your loss. She will always be a wonderful memory for me, in my storehouse of treasurers.
I have only known Gene a few years, and only in the context of the PH Quilt Guild. But she has always been the epitome of a gracious southern lady. She was quick with a smile and I always knew that when Gene would come to a guild meeting or bee, it would be a good day. What a joy to have known her! Be thou at peace, Gene.

Thank you for sharing your quilts and quilting talent with us over the years. We will certainly miss you at meetings, and we share in the grief your family is experiencing right now. Thank you for inspiring me to forge ahead with creating the new group, and thank you to your family for sharing Gene with us.

Gene Marion will truly be missed. We always looked forward to the summer visits each year. Having family so far is hard but when we could visit together during the summer we had fun. We find great solace that Gene Marion is with her beloved brothers and the rest of our departed family.
She will always be remembered with much love.
