WINDSOR, SC -Cathie Boatwright Jones, age 62, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Cathie was born January 21, 1954 in Lexington County, SC to Howell and the late Annie Brown Boatwright. She was a life-long resident of Aiken County and retired after 27 years from the Waste Management Tank Farm at DuPont / Savannah River Plant. She held various titles over her career and was respected in the F Area of the plant. Cathie was always a very giving and caring person. Everyone became a part of her family. In addition to her mother, Cathie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Carpenter. She is survived by her father, Howell Boatwright; her husband of thirty years, Mark Jones; a daughter, Christie Grant Williams (Rico), Aiken, SC; a son, Baxter Felix Vinson, Jr., Windsor, SC; three grandchildren, Daniella Perez-Arguello (Victor), Sydney Isabella Williams, Ricayla Asa Williams; a great-grandson, Livan Daniel Perez-Arguello; two sisters, Terry Ann Skinner and Brenda Alejo (Jorge); a brother, Jerry Boatwright (Bobbie Joe); a special family member that she thought of as a daughter, Cynthia A. Maxey; a god child, Jessica Alejo Vargas; a special best friend, Terri Haynes; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends whom she loved dearly. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the residence of 52 Gregory Rd., Aiken, SC 29805. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Stiefeltown Baptist Church, 150 Springwood Loop, Warrenville, SC 29851. The Rev. Bob Boone will officiate.
