I always had great admiration and respect for Dr. Zwerling. He seemed to be the only one who was able to help me with my allergies. He was intelligent and kind, never arrogant. Whenever he saw me, he would always inquire about my daughter, now grown and living elsewhere, who used to be his patient years ago. I'm very saddened by his death, because he was a gentle soul who did his part to make the world a better place.

Dr. Zwerling was a wonderful person and fabulous doctor. As a life-long allergy sufferer, his work with my alergies made a HUGE difference in my life - alleviating my symptoms to the point where I was able to earn my Ph.D. and lead the wonderful life I now have. I own him much. He will be sorely missed!

So very sorry to hear this... Dr. Z was one of the most interesting and generous folks I\'ve ever met. He hired me to entertain a couple of times for the Aiken County Medical Association and even invited me to stay at his "end of the rainbow". I remember waking to the sound of peacocks in the trees and watching the fish swim in his fully stocked "lake". He enjoyed creating his own Shangrila. One of his favorite features was his incredible video room from which he gave me an old Charlie McCarthy video for my own collection of ventriloquist memorabelia. He touched so many lives in so many ways, and he has left a permanent imprint on my heart. God be with you Dr. Z.

Dr.Z was the most wise and by far the most kind man I have ever met. I thank G-d that I got to have his smile for 12 wonderful years. He showed me what true love was. I am a stronger and better person because he helped raise me. My mother and him were the best couple I knew. They were "engaged to not be married". I loved when I got home and would see his big smile. He taught me so much through the years. He helped me through many of the struggles of life. His love and joy, I feel, still lives on through me and I am thankful for that. I will always remember him for: his books, movies, quotes, jokes, and wisdom. I\'ll always remember him sitting in "his chair" in our living room, his pant hem past his ankles, and a peek of his cartoon socks saying a little hello. "It\'s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." I truly do love him and his memory will live forever. Good-bye Doc!

We were so sad to hear of Dr. Martin Zwerling\'s tragedy. For over 23 plus years, Dr. Zwerling has taken care of all of my allergy needs. I owe to him a special gratitute and thankfullness. Dr. Zwerling\'s alertness and professionalism saved my life when he diagnosed me with the Steven Johnson Syndrome last July 2001. Because of his alertness and quick response, I was able to receive the proper medical attention needed. He helped restore my health, and I will be forever grateful and thankful to God for Dr. Zwerling\'s fast response. Our condolences and sympathy to his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.

At the age of 3, my son Jonathan was waiting to see Dr Zwerling. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, he came in and my son said "What in the world took you so long?" I wanted to crawl under something. Dr. Zweling said, "Well, Jonathan, if you look at my head, you can tell I\'m getting kinda old and if you look at my body, you can tell I\'M kinda big and when you put the 2 together I\'m going just as fast as I can go." Jonathan said "Oh". That was in 1979.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of this fine man, my physician and friend. He faithfully saw me through years of stressful illness, and without his help I could not have continued living a normal life; he also took care of my family and many times gave me good advice about many things in life.

What a blessing Dr. Z was in lives of Linda and Jennifer Taylor, and in the lives of those who know them.
Dr. Z and Linda helped me pick out my dog at the SPCA animal shelter.
Holding the tiny beagle mix pup, I asked him, "Is she too quiet?"
He replied: "Is a man too rich? Is a diamond too big?"
Then, he looked in her ears.
In the nine years since, he proved to me to be a loyal friend. He was a wise, generous, compassionate, and resourceful man, punctuated with a more-than-ample dose of wit.
And ... Gidget, the little pup, has never had an ear, nose, or throat problem.
He will be missed.
