Aunt Doris was the kindest, sweetest, loving person anyone could ever know. Her positive attitude was unbelievable. She never had an unkind thing to say about anyone. She will be missed by so many. Stay strong Sonya and know that you had a terrific mother who loved you unconditionally. And she treasued Ashley and Dustin so much. Knowing Doris Jean Evans was knowing love. She will be missed but never forgotten!

My mother Marguerite Stubbins at Carriage Hills and I were so very saddened by the death of your mother and grandmother. Please know that we will lift you up in prayer during this time and that Mrs. Evans is in a far better place without pain or worry.

Grandma Jean was a gentle and loving Grandmother. Although my last visit was 30 years or more, I still remember her wonderful cooking and comforting smile. I regret not visiting since then, but it is a comfort to know I will see her again some day.

Jean's smiling face and positive attitude over the years have been a true inspiration and source of strength. We were not able to visit as often as we would have liked but thank God for telephones, which allowed us to kept in touch on a regular basis over the years. We will truly miss her and will be praying for Sonya, her daughter & most beloved friend along Shirley her sister, and all her other family members.

Jean was a resident of mine while i was working at Carriage Hills...She became my friend after only days of meeting her. She was one of my best friends I made while I lived in South Carolina. Never has a day gone by that I have not thought about her and missed her laughter and her singing down the halls during Thanksgiving and Christmas! I grew to love her as an older sister really! I'll miss her so much. Sonya, Ashley, and Dustin, I'm extremely sorry for our loss. I'll pray for you as Jean did every night for me.
Prayers and Thoughts,
Lindsey Mailman, CNA
