Mary Jo, Carol, and Louisa, my deepest condolences in the passing of your Mother. She was such a visible presence in my life growing up through a variety of connections between our parents and siblings. I was especially honored to work with her for five years (1976-1981) at Aiken Junior High at the beginning of my teaching career. That time with your Mom and the opportunity to see, learn from, and model her in a professional setting was very special and valuable for me.
