Funeral services for Mr. Junior Jackson will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2pm at Bethcar Baptist Church, Wagener with Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken and on Thursday, at the church, from 1pm until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place. Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Jackson, 72, of Wagener, died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his residence. A son of the late General Lee Jackson and Eula Mae Jackson, he was a life long resident of Aiken County. He had worked as a truck driver for JR Rentals. He enjoyed his work and he liked to be outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jackson, Wagener, a son, Tommy Carolyn Jackson, Wagener, SC; a step-son, Larry Wayne Thompson, Wagener, SC; step granddaughter, Melissa Patrick and step great grandsons, Cody Patrick and Brady Patrick.
