Dear Corinne,
Stan was no doubt a man's man. He was the kindest, sweetest and most honrable man I have know.
When moving to Aiken, it was so nice to reacquaint again.
The times, that Stan and I would go out "just us guys", will always
be treasured. Yours and Stanley's love affair were exemplary.
We all miss him, but were privileged to have known him.

Dear Corinne,
We will never forget Stan as he was a "gentleman", in the true sense of the word.Honorable, loyal, distinguished and set an example for all to follow.
Your relationship was not the norm, and everyone secretely wanted what you two had but just didn't have the formula. If you asked Stan what that formula was, he just smiled his quiet little smile and looked at you as if he didn't understand that a relationship could be anything but happy.
His legacy lives on in his family.

Hello my Darling. I find solace in being able to write in your book and today is one of those days that I need to.
I love you today as I have from the start and I'll love you forever with all of what's left of my heart. You know it is broken but love is a timeless treasure to value more each year... a wealth of golden memories. Thank you for the memories. Life is a cherished souvenier. The riches of a long and happy marriage...smiles warmed and widened by years of understanding thoughts shared before they're even spoken...a clasp of hands that says everything. A lot has happened in the world since we married but our love and commitment to each other endured. A 47 year love affair. What a ride. You would be more proud of Rick than ever.He is so happy with his marriage. Julie is beautiful, Matt is a fine young man and baby Savannah had her first birthday Oct. 2. She is so pretty and happy. I miss you sooo.

Sweetheart, You are my heart's
true love. The one I was meant to
meet across time, across space, and across whatever obstacles put in our way.
You are the one I was meant to meet
and be beside forever.....
The one whose kiss is magic to me,
the one whose gorgeous blue eyes reach in to my soul. The one whose laugh lights my day and whose whispered words of caring warm my nights.
You are the one who understands what's in my heart, the one whose
arms I shared a refuge from the world and all of it's cares.
You are the only one with whom I could find such a wonderful, deep, and exciting love....
and I'm so glad we shared life's beautiful adventures together.
Happy Christmas Eve Birthday

My Darling, I found the following writing that we cut out of the Buffalo Evening News in the 1960's and wanted to share it with you again. If I lost you I would be as...The Night without the moon...It's rosebud, month of June...I'd be so terribly alone...That life would cease to be...Because, my sweetheart, you have been...So much a part of me...If you were gone I'd never see...The sun up in the sky... For you are my whold world it seems ...My reason and my why...For when two people share a love...That never will grow old...It seems as though the world itself is their's to have and hold...And that is why If I lost you...Life would be hard to face...For I know deep within my heart...No one could take your place. I Love You So Much. Many kisses and hugs My Darling

Dearest Corinne,
Real friendship is a constant joy in the heart. It is an honor just to be a part of it. A friendship like this might only come along once in a lifetime. It makes quiet promises and keeps every one of them.
I love being friends with you. It's a feeling that makes everything in my life better. I know there will always be smiles in my days because of things we share and times we've spent together. There is no other support I can trust nearly as much and no other joy on which I can always depend. If anyone every asks me how happiness and thankfullness can be found, I'll tell them that the secret is in finding someone exactly like you. And I know that's true...because you are a real friend. by chris gallatin
You are always in my thoughts and I shall never forget your help and support. Fondest Love, Eileen

Words cannot express how we feel about the most wonderful man we knew. He was always warm, friendly, loving, and most of all funny. I myself have fond memories of our Christmases together; coloring in that BIG book and playing Santa. He always asked if my makeup was on and made me smile and laugh even if I didn't feel like it. He will surely be missed by all who knew him, and those who didn't sure missed out! We loved the way you loved each other and I hope we can have that kind of "Love Affair" for the rest of our lives. Hoping this consoles you, but knowing you have so many fond memories of him and your wonderful lives together that may help you through this difficult time. We love you and miss you. We loved him and will remember how he touched our lives, and will remain in ours forever! One day we will all be together, but until then, all we have are memories, and they are good ones! xoxoxoxoxo

In reading his obituary, we weren't aware of all of his accomplishments - he never bragged or had to have you know "who he was"...he was just Stan - the beloved husband of Corinne. How he LOVED CORINNE!...it was so obvious from the first time we met him. These two people were "one". We will miss him and never forget him.

Dear Rick and Corinne,
I would like you both to know that I count having had the opportunity to know your family as one of the many blessings I've received in life. Stan was the greatest and most loving husband and father anyone could ask for. In turn, he was rewarded with the most giving and elegant wife and the most dedicated and selfless son. I cannot express the influence you all have had in my life personally and professionally. Many of the compliments I've received over the years can be attributed to time spent with Stan, Corinne and Rick Brinkman. I think of you, Corinne, every single time I drive past The Sanctuary, but I've thought of you more in the past few days. I can never say thank you enough for the time we've spent together. My Darling Son,Rick,
I wanted to respond to your note in our Guest Book just so we both would have the remembrance to hold close to our hearts and minds. You have been the devoted and loving son that any parents could wish for. I remember the times when you were a little boy and you and Dad reading together and doing dot to dot pictures together, or coloring. He taught you the time tables, how to ride a bike and all the many hours of real quality time he would spend with you. With your imposing 6'5" frame you were never afraid of showing your love for the both of us by holding and hugging and kissing us whenever and wherever. I am so sorry you are in so much pain now but we both do have wonderful loving memories of a very special human angel on earth who is now watching over us from heaven. I firmly believe he will give us a sign very soon that he is settled in and still guiding us along the path.
I love you with all my heart and really Dad and I both have been so very proud of your life and accomplishments as we both have told you many times

We met Stan & Corinne at Victoria pool parties and were always impressed by his warmth and kindness. With "Alley" the cat, they made a delightful threesome. He was fun, witty and pleasant and although we have not visited since we all left Grand Harbor, we shall always remember Stan. Our last time together was the Brinkman's treat at Captain Hiram's before we moved back to Michigan. We send our sincere condolences to the whole family.
With love, Sally & Phil Savage
