Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Barton Glance will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 1:30pm at Cedar Creek Church, 3001 Banks Mill Rd, Aiken with Rev. Olin W. McBride officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken. Pallbearers will be Gary Kendrick, Ronnie Kendrick, Tony Jones, Pat Polk, Tony Polk, Dutch Conrad and Daniel Ferdelman. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Lane Columbia, SC 29210-1790 Mrs. Glance, 78, of Gilbert, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at her residence. A daughter of Hoyt and Lenora Davis Barton, she was born in Canton, NC and moved to Aiken in 1951 where she lived until moving to Gilbert in 2005. She was a retired accountant for DuPont corporation at the Savannah River Site and a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she is also pre-deceased by her husband, John W. Glance, a sister, Willella Woodruff and a brother, Alvin Barton. She is survived by three children, Teresa George Kastanes, Gilbert, SC, Debra Michael Anness Glance, Trinidad, West Indies and Robert Cheryl Glance, Aiken. She is also survived by two brothers, Bruce Barton, Rock Hill, SC and Charles Barton, Fayetteville, NC; three sisters, Julia Clark, Canton, NC, Barbara Nance, Fayetteville, NC and Frances Fore, Canton, NC; a sister in law, Juanita Kendrick, Shelby, NC and seven grandchildren.
