Dear Irene,
I was so very sorry to hear of your great loss. Ted was such a warm and gentle man who was always so welcoming and kind when all us "crazy" secretaries invaded your home. Your deep religious beliefs will get you through and I know you have made excellent friends in your new home. Let your friends and family help you as much as they can as you learn to deal with this great loss. I can still remember Ted's smile and I know your memories of his goodness are so deep they will keep him ever present in your life. My prayers are with you and the kids. My God bless you all, Linda Mitchell

Irene,
Scott Smith, our principal at High Point now, forwarded this to me today. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I often fondly remember my rookie year at High Point as a new assistant principal and all your many kindnesses. You are truly an extraordinary person, one of the classiest. I know all the present and former High Point staff are with you in their thoughts and prayers. Please take care and do feel free to contact me by e-mail. I am back at High Point again, though now as the Regional Assistant Superintendent. Some of your grooming at the Rabun Refining School must have paid off.
Bill Ritter
PS--fell free to send along your address if you choose, I would love to stay in touch. I will check with the school regarding any response they are making and will likely join in with them. God Bless.

Dear Irene,
We were so saddened to hear of Ted's death. It's such a loss for your family, your congregation, and all those who knew Ted. He was such a positive influence and witness to others as he lived out his faith and shared that faith with others. I remember that through the years he was always willing to "take up the slack," especially as it involved serving on the Board of Evangelism. I'll always associate that board with Ted. Also, I was blessed when he participated in the Crossways class where he shared his insights and his beliefs. Ever a teacher as well as a student, he prepared a couple handouts on things that particularly interested him, such as everywhere that a prophet was mentioned in the Bible, and I've made copies to share with others who take the class. We have no doubt about where Ted is today -- he's one of those dressed in white who is gathered around the heavenly altar singing praises and seeing the Lord face-to-face!
Love to you and the family. Karen & Don Soeken
