Dearest Brother,
Just want you to know your memory is indelible in our memories and in our hearts. We have heard so many kind and heart-warming comments about you, both in Cedar Rapids, IA and Aiken, SC. I want you to know that our personally-guided tour of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art by Annie and Bill Statmats was delightful and the aura surreal. I felt your presence so much as the snow flakes that were gently falling when we entered the building grew into a full-fledged storm by the time we left. The $10 million wing for which you raised the funds featured the works of Grant Wood as part of the museum's 75th anniversary. I will always treasure the many memories I have experienced through the years and through the past month when you were remembered so beautifully in both memorial services and in receptions afterward. I know you are somehow aware of the classic manner in which your lovely bride of thirteen years has carried out her many responsibilities and conducted herself throughout the entire ordeal of your death. God bless you, brother, until we meet again.
My deepest love,
"Susie Q"

I moved to Aiken 18 months ago and joined a group which included Bill. I played often and found him the total gentleman. My best story is that earlier this year he was given a new driver from his wife. He could not hit it as well as his "old faithful driver" but he would not change, he honored the gift so much. I guess that was very typical of Bill and I am glad I got to know him at least a little. Not once did I hear a complaint about his illness and was surprised indeed at his passing. My condolences to the Coppock family

I will miss Bill and so will all of his other golfing buddies. He was a great guy and a pleasure to play with. You learn a lot about a person when you play golf with them, like their intergity, faith etc. The last time I got to play with Bill was at Houndslake about two months ago when we got to play there due to our course being overseeded. Bill and I were partners that day and rode in the same golf cart. He had just found out he might have another problem. We had a wonderful time and talked a lot about what he had been through. I know he is with the Lord now and suffers no more. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to all of the family in this time of loss.
