Victor Edward Johnson died February 5, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A private memorial service will be held on Friday February 8, 2008 at George Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. A native of Evansville, IN, Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Joseph and Nettie Johnson. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. Mr. Johnson was with Standard Oil Co. Indiana/Amoco Corporation for 35 years, specializing in marketing and communications. He retired in 1981. Mr. Johnson attended Evansville University and Governors State University Illinois, receiving a M.A. in Communication Sciences from the latter. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Jarkiewicz Johnson; children Monique Michèle Wilkin Peter of Aiken; Robert Scott Johnson Nancy of Downers Grove, IL; Mark Alan Johnson Melinda of Lancaster, PA; and grandchildren Peter, Matthew Amy, Julie, Michael, Adrienne Jorge, and Hillary.
