Obituary of Mary C. Snyder

AIKEN, SC – Mary C. Snyder, age 81, passed away on February 8, 2024. She was raised and educated in the Catskill Mountains of New York. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Donald C. Snyder; her parents, Helen M. Fischer and Winfield M. Maben; her brothers, James W. Maben (Sue) and Charles E. Maben; a brother-in-law, Delbert Snyder (Joan); and her grandson, Henry Snyder.

She taught Art, Elementary Secondary Education, & Special Education and was a watercolorist.

She is survived by a son, David C. Snyder (Deb); a daughter, Jill K. Swing; grandchildren, Jane Wahl (Colin), Mary Louise Swing, and Winfield Swing; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at South Aiken Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jason Hammersley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
