WARRENVILLE, SC - Mr. Peter R. Wawrzonkiewicz, Jr., 82, widower of the late Theresa Rose Wawrzonkiewicz passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 29, 2024, at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Peter was born on February 5, 1941, in Jersey City, NJ, a son of the late Peter R and Mae Rybanski Wawrzonkiewicz, Sr. He was a retired teacher having taught in Pemberton Town, NJ for over 25 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Surviving are his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Christine (David) O’Brien of Hammonton, NJ, Jennifer (Christopher) Jones of Mullica Hill, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter P. (Tricia) Wawrzonkiewicz of Elwood, NJ; 4 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Harriett Kraynick & Irene DeLage both of TX and Marie (Gerd) Stabbert & Ruth (Michael) English of NJ; a brother John Wawrzonkiewicz of NJ; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas O’Brien, Noah Jones, Julianna Jones, Hope Jones, Jack Jones & Nicole Peterson.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 421 Augusta Road, Warrenville, SC 29851.

Interment services with military honors will take place on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 1:00pm in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
