Obituary of Mark Mikos

Mark Mikos, age 60, entered peacefully into rest surrounded by his children on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Mark was born in Eastlake, Ohio on July 1, 1963 to the late Stanley and Mary Mikos. While raised in Ohio, Mark spent the last 27 years working and raising a family in Aiken, SC. In addition to a decades long career as an electrical engineer at Crane NXT, Mark was a beloved baseball coach that spent many years coaching little league teams. Mark was a diehard Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan, and when he wasn’t working, he could usually be found enjoying a game while spending time with his family.

 

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mary Mikos. He is survived by his daughter Katie (Julian), son Alex, three granddaughters Aurora, Maggie, and Ivory, and brother Rick (Shirley).  

 

A Requiem Mass followed by a brief reception will be celebrated at the old historic St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 203 Park Ave SE, Aiken, SC 29801, on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 11am.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. 

 

The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
