Christina Marie Cocke, age 52, passed away peacefully during the morning hours of Saturday, October 14, 2023, from Alzheimer’s disease. Her family was blessed by her gift in their lives. Tina had Down Syndrome and was a joy to behold. To her mom she was always “her treasure girl.” Tina enjoyed life to the fullest and loved music, theatre, dancing, travel and the beach. She never seemed to age.

Tina was born to the late William T. Cocke, III and Mary S. Cocke. She graduated from Charles County Public Schools in South Maryland, outside Washington D.C. where she resided until moving to Aiken eight years ago. Tina was active in the Special Olympics for over forty years, receiving many medals and awards. Her favorite sports were bowling and bocce. Horseback riding was her favorite pastime here in Aiken where she rode in the Aiken Horse Show and won ribbons.

Left to cherish Tina’s memory, in addition to her mother, are her sisters Rebecca Howard (Adam) of LaPlata, Md, Samantha Hanna (Matthew) of Aiken and brother Joshua Cocke of Aiken. Her uncle, Tim Baker of Waldorf, Md. Nieces and nephews include Logan Howard, Shelby Hanna, Rori Hanna and Justin Hanna.
