My mom was an amazing woman. Her strength was an inspiration to all of those that knew her. She was not only my mom, she was also my best friend. She helped me to become the woman that I am today: strong, confident, and brave. My mom has always been very supportive of each and everyone of us kids. When we made mistakes she was there beside us to help us to learn from those mistakes. My mom will always be with me wherever life takes me. I Love You Mom, and I will see you again.

Remembering My Sister Sally My sister Sally was a feminist before anyone knew what a feminist was. She was what any true feminist should be: strong, intelligent, and 100% a woman. When she was a teenager, she would crawl under the car when Dad was fixing something, and would hand him the tool he needed at the moment, usually without needing to be told which tool, and maybe bust her own knuckles when she could fit her hands where his wouldn’t go, and the wrench slipped. Later, after she left home to join the Salvation Army, she oversaw the welfare of young expectant mothers, back in the days when abortion was not the go-to solution for unexpected pregnancy. Eventually, she enlisted in the Navy, became an Electronics Technician, and met a great guy named Ed Knight. She became a wife, a Mother, and 10 times a Grandmother. From the day I was born and forever after she was and will always be my beloved sister. Now she has gone home, and we all look forward to seeing her again, when we get there. Grady Davis

We are sorry to hear of Sally’s passing, but know that she is at peace finally. She was a true friend and inspiration to everyone that knew her. No matter how much she was suffering herself, she tried to encourage everyone that she spoke to. She loved her family and her country with all her heart and served them both well. Every time I think of her, I will smile.
