Dear Amelia and Family, Mike and I send our heartfelt condolences for the loss of dear Med. I remember Med most of all for the time we shared on the Tennis Committee at Woodside. We were so enjoying playing pickleball at that time. He led the Committee with so much enthusiasm and his winning smile. My heart is broken for you all. I have enjoyed getting reconnected with Med and Amelia these past 10-15years. And even got to spend some time with Jennifer in Colorado. They opened their heart and home to us at the condo in North Myrtle a few years ago. The older I get, the more nostalgic I become and it was wonderful talking with Med about our parents and grandparents and cousins and Wadesboro. I loved spying on him through Facebook as he enjoyed many adventures and loved on his girls and grandgirls. I could tell he had so many friends in Aiken who loved and appreciated him. I so wanted to be there honoring and remembering Med today. Grief is a long hard process and I pray you each will find moments of peace as you travel through this horrible loss. My Daddy always spoke so highly of him. Med was a wonderful, loving man. This world is much poorer without him and i will miss him.

We met Med and Amelia shortly after coming to Aiken. We spent many good times together and feel that Med was indeed a very special fellow. He was multi-talented and so welcoming. He was an incredible cook and a kind, gentle soul who always enjoyed life and friends. Our hearts are heavy for Amelia, Jennifer, Insley, and the family. Our twins, Jennifer and Lindsey, remember going to the Allen’s house visiting Insley, and Med would always fix them food. They have often told us that Med made the best hamburgers of any they have had. A good memory held for a long time by our twin girls who are now adults and reflecting on childhood memories. The small actions of kindness are often the most remembered. Just one of the many memories our family has from those times that involved Med. Ben and Jacque Parks
