AIKEN, SC- REBECCA "BECKY" WILSON MAGNER, 93, passed away, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her residence. Born March 20, 1921 in Apex, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Linnie Upchurch Wilson. Mrs. Magner moved from Washington, DC to Aiken, SC in 1951. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, the former Highland Park Golf Club, and the Palmetto Golf Club. Mrs. Magner retired as a secretary at E. I. duPont de Nemours and Company at the Savannah River Plant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Magner was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Briggs Magner; four sisters, Etna Beth Woodward, Exie Sue Andrews, Ala Merritt Yow, Joanna Wilson; brothers Edwin Lewin Wilson, Leonard Wilson, Larry Lloyd Langdon. She is survived by her sister-in-law Dixie Wilson and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 AM in the George Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
