Mr. George was a fine gentleman. He was one of the first people my father met when he was a brief resident at Benton House. They were both Masons. I enjoyed my brief interactions with him when I visited my father. I last met with Mr. George in the spring of 2020 before I returned home to Orange County, CA. He will be missed.
Such dear friends … how I enjoyed all of our times together … whether we were spending volunteer hours in support of the programs of the American Cancer Society … or enjoying a night out at a favorite restaurant .. or watching Dick involved in a round of golf! And up in Aiken seeing to my attendance at the outstanding musical offerings… and the most overwhelming performance of The St. Matthew Passion, ever. The two were the most kind and generous friends… I will miss them terribly.
