Dear Albenesius Family--and close friends--I went to St. Angela Academy and I knew Margaret. She was just a bit younger than I but I remember exactly what she looked like and her personality, too. She was so pretty and fairly quiet and she had a lovely smile. I appreciated my friends at SAA and always will! Such a big part of my life-meeting all my Catholic friends and the Boarders, there, too. I'm a dyed in the wool Presbyterian but I found a whole new world of people that I will think of and love forever there! I am still in touch with many of them and am glad of that. There were a few "grown-ups" that I knew outside of the school first that then came to teach there! For example, Florence Hoffmeier, who was the Librarian. Oh, your Momma was so pretty! And what a good "brain." I know the student's of hers's there and at St. Mary's appreciated her ways! Although you do not know me, I know some of YOUR family and I simply want to pay tribute to your Mother-and to say that I remember Margaret. May you all experience "the peace that passeth understanding", whenever you need it and for how long you may benefit from that promise! God bless you all and take good care of yourselves. My Best Regards, Terri Spencer-Williams from Aiken,SC.

Dear Albenesius Family...I was so sorry to hear of your Mother's death. She and your Dad and our Mother and Dad were long time friends coming to Aiken way back in the day. As the years went by and more of the old guard passed away, your Mom and ours would speak together frequently. Mom, who past away last summer, cared for and admired her friend Lucy. It is sad that we have loss yet another one of the greatest generation. Your Mom was a grand Lady who will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. With Deepest Sympathy....Ann and Bill Ward and the Rosbach Family

I will always remember Mrs. Albenesius as my Social Studies and Civics teacher at St. Angela. I will NEVER spell “independence” incorrectly again! In later years I remember her fondly as “Lucy” playing bridge. She was a tough lady who endured so much during her lifetime. She will surely live on through her children, grandchildren, etc.
