We want to extend our condolences to you for your loss, and let you know we will be praying for the Lord to give you strength. Burt was a special man and a good man. He was a good friend and helped Bruce out several times with his backhoe, he did love playing on it. Always seem to be a contended person, happy with his life. He did make his mark in our world and will be well remembered as a good neighbor. Bruce and Kathy Boatwright

Bert, as your sister I’m recalling many sweet memories we shared as children..... as adults not so much our journey was tainted by alcoholic parents they did the best they could ......yet we suffered from the abuse that comes with alcoholism running rampant in our family......We both survived our trials and tribulations By the Grace of God , we took different roads..... to meet again late in life....yet we met because God wasn’t done with us yet.......He’s taken you Home to the light where it was your turn to go.....Amen......I’m happy your finally at PEACE, Brother, finally at PEACE........Amen

I a star last night and I had never seen it before. It was so bright and twinkling that I knew it is you. I asked it if you are. Bert. It really twinkled and I took that as a yes I want to thank you for all you did for me. I remember when you you went almost to Columbia because Leslie’s car broke down on the interstate. We were so relieved snd you brought the car back to Aiken and fixed it, There are so many other times. I love you and we may be apart but you’ll always be in my heart. You were my brother.
