Obituary of Lawrence G Frelin

Aiken, SC: Lawrence G. Frelin, 70, of Aiken, husband of Norma J. Ruple Frelin, passed away January 22, 2021.

 

Born October 9, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lawrence Richard Frelin and Joyce E. Elliot Frelin.

 

Larry was the Commandant of The James L. Hammons Detachment #939 Marine Corps League and was very active at both local and state levels for many years.  Toys for Tots and aiding local veterans were especially close to his heart as well as was his service to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.

 

Larry was loved by many and will be missed by all,

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Todd L. Frelin.

 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years; his son, Tim Frelin (Romney); his daughter, Lori Stevens (Jeremy); his step-son, David Damron; his sisters, Jennifer Weislak (Marty) and Beth Contreras (Tom); his brothers, Rick Frelin (Kathy) and Kevin Frelin (Debbie); his brother-in-law, Bernard Ruple (Carol); and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor to The James L. Hammons #939 Marine Corps League or to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
