Being in the military sometimes gives us an opportunity to enjoy extended families. Although I was never given the opportunity to meet Mrs. Ferko I will always remember the wonderful stories Dan has shared with us at NAS Key West. Especially the Christmas cookie bake-off where Dan was absolutely sure that Mother Ferko's Christmas butter cookies were absolutely the best there ever was. And they were.
