Dr. Kline was always tough but fair. My second day of a summer class with him at Gainesville Junior College, he gave a pop quiz on the readings due that day, but told us we could leave for an hour to study if we weren't prepared. I was the first to leave and 1st to return, only to discover the entire class had left. After the quiz, he told us to come prepared in the future as he wouldn't give us the extra break again. I always came prepared thereafter, and I try to emulate his example of tough kindness now that I too teach freshmen college courses. I sincerely offer Mary and family my heartfelt condolences as I spent many hours visiting them at that point in my life. Michael Gagnon

I was a student of Dr. Kline at Gainesville Junior College in the early 80's. He taught a very small Honors English class and we had the best time. He was a great teacher, mentor, and always so fun to be around. I enjoyed his class and his support in my education journey. Prayers for his family during this time.

I am so sorry Mary to learn of Jimmy's death. I have so many childhood memories of him. He was a close friend to my parents during his pre-college days and my hero when I was a little girl. My thoughts are with you and your wonderful and blessed big family. I go Pogo!
