My deepest sympathy to Sherry, Kristin, Sarah Jane and the rest of Graham's family. Graham and I were best friends and fraternity brothers in Delta Upsilon at DePauw for the short time we were both there. We stayed in touch after that, but we both had busy careers. I attended Graham and Sherry's wedding and was at Kristin's confirmation. I went to two Kentucky Derby's with Graham. Graham was the one who converted me, a Pittsburgher, to Bourbon, Heaven Hill, at the time when we were poor students. And it was Graham who taught me the correct way to pronounce "Louisville!" Sadly, the last time I saw Graham was in 2012 in Alexandria, Virginia. Here is the picture from that night. I wish we could have spent more time together. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend. Sherry, Kristen, Sarah-Jane , Terry and I were so sorry to hear about graham, but we were moved by his obituary in the paper this morning. What a wonderful life and amazing accomplishments. I remember when I was working on Grahams gutters in the back of the house. He was sitting in a chair reading. Sherry was inside in the kitchen. I had just come off a 32 ft ladder. The wind shifted and caused the ladder to fall toward him. It hit a chair well behind him with a loud crack. Sherry was looking out and saw the ladder falling , thinking I was on it.. She ran out back, all was well. Graham never looked up, he was totally involved in his reading and enjoying a smoke. All he said was “ hows it coming along.” Of course I answered , “Just Fine Graham”. You know we meet a lotta people in life and Graham and Sherry are very sweet people to know. I consider it a privilege to have known him. My thought and prayers are for the family in this mournful time.
