Obituary of Sandra Elizabeth Jackson

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

AIKEN, SC – Sandra Elizabeth Jackson entered into rest June 3, at her home, after battling multiple medical issues. She would have celebrated her 57th birthday next month.

A lifelong resident of Aiken, she was a graduate of Aiken High School. In her working life, she held positions at Aiken Technical College, The Augusta Chronicle, and Augusta University.

She is survived by her brother Jonathan Jackson, her sister Beverly Jackson, and her niece Chloe Elizabeth Jackson, all of Aiken, as well as loving family in the Atlanta area. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Anne Chandler Jackson and her father Otis Jackson, Jr.

One of Sandra's best qualities was her love of animals. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Aiken County Animal Shelter (333 Wire Road, Aiken, SC 29801) via www.fotasaiken.org. No formal memorial gathering or service is planned at this time, due to the national health crisis.

The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
