April and Daggy, I am heartbroken to hear of your mom's passing. She was without fail kind and sweet to me, from the time your family moved in down the street when I was 12, to the time she graciously invited me to stay at the hotel with you all during our swim meet at Springs Mill in the summer of '72, down through the years to our last conversation on the phone a few months ago, in which two things were plainly apparent: how much she missed your dad, and how much she adored her grandchildren.
