We were Blessed to have known Harvey. It was great to sit and have coffee and cookies with the both of you. The both of you were such an amazing couple with great memories that you shared with us. We remember Harvey talking about his coffee in the military.
I can't write a poem as meaningful as yours but this one seems appropriate:
I Thank My God Every Time I Remember Harvey
God watched him as he suffered and knew he had his share. He gently closed his weary eyes and took him in His Care.
God has him in His keeping, we have him in our hearts. His memory is our keepsake and with that we'll never part.
God saw he was getting tired and recovery was not to be. So he put His arms around him and whispered, "Harvey, Come with Me".
With tearful eyes we watched him surrender and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly,
we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
