You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. Mr. Piper was my Manager at SRS. He was supportive of all his employees and I never saw him upset or angry with anyone. When I was promoted I tried to conduct myself in a like manner. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.
George Piper was my first supervisor as a young operator at SRS in 1984. I talk about him to this day 35 years later. What an influential man, never rattled, always encouraging with a great wit. When he changed shifts we on “C” shift almost mutinied.

George was one of my mentors/Supervisor when I worked out at the Savannah River Plant. His excellent leadership skills as well as his respect for each individual he met was admired by all he worked with. He gladly shared his knowledge of plant processes so we could further our own careers. George I am gonna miss you my friend Rest in Peace.
George Piper was a good man and I was blessed to work with him and to know him. He was always a gentleman and had a great sense of humor. I don’t think that I ever saw George when he wasn’t smiling. RIP Papa Smurf
My Father was an amazing man! He lived a long and wonderful life! He is with God now and no longer in pain. Truly an inspiration to others with his positive attitude and awesome smile. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He will be missed but, never forgotten. Love you Daddy! Rest in peace!
