Mrs. Grace Eiler White, 92, widow of Robert Eugene White, Sr. and a resident of Aiken South Carolina passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. A daughter of the late Kenneth Eiler, and Grace Leffler Eiler, she was born in Pottsville PA and lived in Sandy, Oregon before moving to AIken, SC. Mrs. White was a retired Nurse and worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital for 25 years. She was formerly a Nurse in the United States Navy with service in San Francisco and the Philippines. She met her husband of 64 years in Oakland CA. Mrs. White was a past President of the Friendship Force, Columbia Cascade Chapter in Oregon, This is a national organization fostering international travel and friendship. She also spent much of her time volunteering in a local library and elementary school in Sandy Oregon. Survivors include her daughters; Kristin E. Munns (VADM Charles Munns, USN, Ret) of Aiken, SC, Gale White-Queck (John Queck) of Coon Rapids, MN, and Kim White of Roswell GA, a son; Robert E. White, Jr. (Kazuko) of Washougal WA, and a sister; Lois Emily DePeamealere of San Diego, CA. Mrs. White is also survived by ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, two of those are pending arrivals. Mrs. White was predeceased by two brothers; Kenneth Eiler Jr. and Frances "Sam" Eiler, and two sisters; Nancy Jane Weyant, and Sally Joyce Siminitus.
