We appreciated Grace; for all of her work in Friendship Force, and her upbeat 'spirit' when she traveled to other countries, or in the planning for ambassadors who would be visiting our club here in Oregon and Washington. We were so glad that Grace and Bob were with their family (in which they took such pride), when they passed on. May you all stay strong in dealing with your loss, and we thank you for sharing your parents. They made a huge contribution in the success of Friendship Force. Best wishes, Jim & Judy Hogue

I enjoyed the company of Grace and Bob when I traveled to New Zealand on my first Friendship Force exchange, and many times after that. She worked tirelessly for the Columbia Cascade chapter in many capacities. Please accept my sympathy for losing her physical presence. Her friendly and generous spirit will remain with me, and I will smile when I remember the fun we had together.

We have known Grace and Bob since they first moved to the Portland area and joined the Friendship Force of Columbia Cascade. Grace was a little whirlwind member - president of the club twice, exchange leader, organizer, and Bob supported her in all she did. She got things done, one way or the other! At one of the club's potlucks the people were loudly visiting with each other while Grace was trying to get their attention to get things started. When all else failed, she stood up on one of the tables and believe me, she got their attention. The meeting and potluck went along on schedule. Grace often conducted a little act for visiting FF Ambassadors of the Wild West...cowboys and Indians, complete with neck kerchiefs and hats. Bob always looked forward to visiting with Ryan and exchanging books. We will always cherish our memories of Grace and Bob. Those memories will keep them always with us. They were both very special friends. Our sincere sympathy to you in the loss of your dear mother.

Even though we were relatively new to the neighborhood, we knew Grace. She was always so pleasant and could tell the best stories. I visited with her at the rehab facility and she made me smile. I know it is a loss for the family but I am sure you were blessed to have her as your mother and she leaves behind a wonderful legacy. Judy and Dean Keaton
