Bob was a hell of a guy to grow up with. We were both members of the "Highland Hills Raiders." We would meet after dark and wander through the neighborhood knocking over garbage cans! Of course I was always the innocent one when we got caught. Bob took me to one of his dad's square dances, great fun! I just found out about his passing and it saddens me greatly. Miss him but will see him again soon

To the family of Mr.Helmig.
Hello, my name is Kira Smith. I was looking over the obituaries and saw the listing for Mr. Helmig. Although I never met Mr. Helmig I can tell he was loved by many. I wanted to write you and tell you how sorry I am for your loss.
I'm sure this is a particularily difficult time for you. Personally I've always found the bible to be a great comfort, perhaps you have too. A truly beautiful scripture is John 5:28,29. This tells us that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus' voice and come out." Yes we will be reunited with all those whom we have lost very soon. When all these are resurrected the bible says they will "inherit the earth and shall reside upon it forever." Psalms 37:29 What a grand time that will be!
Another comforting scripture is Revelation 21:4. I encourage you to look this up in your own copy of the bible. It tells of a promise that God promised us for the future.
Many people often wonder:
Is it God?s purpose to populate heaven with humans, taking all good people there?
The Scriptures make clear that it was a happy earthly home that God gave humankind to start with, and purposed that they should enjoy it. There is no indication in the Bible that God ever promised the first human pair, Adam and Eve, that they would be transported to heaven to become angels if they continued faithful to God for a time on earth. In fact, in all the inspired Scriptures from Genesis to Malachi, no promises of heaven were held out to humans; nor did any person go to heaven. No God does not take people as some might think. This should be comforting to know that God is not behind the death of Mr.Helmig or the death of anyone for that matter. No but he does promise to alleviate death forever. How comforting this must be to you
I truly hope this has been helpful to you. May you continue to stay close to god and he will stay close to you James 4:8 Always keep in mind his promises for the future.
Thank you for your time
Kira Smith

Bob was a wonderful friend, although we never got to meet face to face, I feel like I have known him a life time.He surely could make one laugh. He deeply loved his wife Debora, as he constantly talked about how he wished he could take away her back pains so she would be free of that painful burden, for he loved her so much. He called her his bestfriend and soulmate. I met him from a friend Bobby Godwin, over a funny email that was to Bobby from Bob. He was a true jokester. I received my last email from him recently, and to hear of him going home, was a true shock, but do know that he is in a better place then we are. I will miss him, and I send my condolences to his family. I have a couple of great picture's of him and Debora, to remember him by. He will remain in my thoughts. God bless his family.
