A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Maurice Crofton Bryant, Jr. will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1721 Old 96 Indian Trail, Batesburg, with Rev. Ken Weathers officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be directed in memory of Mr. Bryant to the Monetta Volunteer Fire Dept, PO Box 127, Monetta, SC, 29105. Mr. Bryant, 63, of Aiken, died Tuesday, September 26, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A lifelong resident of Aiken, he was the son of the late Maurice Crofton and Ruth Leona Siegler Bryant, Sr. He was a retired welder with United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #421. He served as a past board member of the Monetta Volunteer Fire Dept. He was looking forward to the birth of his first great granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William Cecil Bryant, sister, Barbara Bryant Fallaw. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cook Bryant, sons, Ray Tammy Bryant, Aiken, Michael Angel Bryant, Columbia, SC, daughters, Anita Mel Shuman, North Augusta, Janet Casarez, Aiken, brothers, Jessie Bryant, Frankie ?Gene? Bryant, Shelton Bryant, Ebb "Pete" Bryant, sister, Thelma "Sis" Grover, grandchildren, Ruth, Taylor, Katie, Trey, Pashia, Jeremy, Carrie, Jesse, Debra, Justin, great grandson, Logan.
