I have just found out about the unfortunate death of a very good man. Bruce was always bright and shiney. Always warm and you could always count on him to have your back in any situation. I hadnt seen him in years and ran into him a couple months back and it brought back many happy memories of our High School days. I wish the family the best in there time of need. Just remember all the good times. And he will live on forever!!! IJH

I would like to offer my deepest condolences on the loss of your loved one. I learned of the accident over the the weekend and immediately sought comfort from God's word the bible. A thought at Eccl. 9:11 explains that unforeseen occurrence befall us all. 1 Thes. 4:13 has helped me to no longer be ignorant concerning those sleeping in death because there is going to be a resurrection of all in their memorial tombs according to John 5: 28, 29. I encourage you to hold fast to these words and gain strength from God's word. Be confident in what He says because he cannot lie ~ Titus 1:2.

I'll always remember Bruce as the fun, loving, outgoing person he always was. Bruce and I grew up together as friends, as we were when we were kids. Karen baby sat me as a child and I'll never forget how she got our butts when she cought us having our very first kiss behind the old storage house at the house in clearwater. We dated for a short time as adults, and realized we made better friends, but always remained close. For a while Bruce, Greg and I were a regular trio. It's been a while sense i've seen Bruce and I live in Savannah now, only to visit and find that I've lost someone I'll always remember, never forget, and will forever love. Bruce truly was an angel and I thank God for allowing me to be apart of his life, if only for 1 day. I love you Bruce may you Rest In Peace, and until next time.

Sunday night when Crystal and I got the call that Bruce was in a motorcycle accident, I felt I was reliving the past of when my brother, Bruce Sr. was also in a motorcycle accident. I was in shock and could not get to the hospital fast enough. I wanted Bruce to know that I was there for him and not to give up. I know in my heart that he heard me and he waited until all of his family and friends were able to say their goodbyes.
Bruce was an outgoing, free spirit and loved the adventures of life by making friends wherever he went. When he walked in the room his presents was shown with a big smile and a warm hug.
I am going to miss the sound of his voice saying, ?Hi Aunt Kim? Giving me a big hug and kiss on the cheek and never forgetting to say goodbye and saying ?I Love you Aunt Kim.?
I am going to miss my ?Little Bruce.? He filled our family with so much love. Life will not be the same without him.

Bruce. A statement within its self. After dating Marsha for a few months, I constantly heard of this brother, Bruce. She would tell me numerous stories of how he would defend and protect her. Man, did I feel sorry for the other guy. Well, the day came where I would meet the infamous Bruce. I prepared myself to make a lasting and permenant impression on Bruce because he was the on who I felt like I needed approval from. Not so much Karen or anyone else, but I needed approval from Bruce. Bruce's only words to me that day were "Hey man, whats goin' on?" The next four years I had the privilege of getting to know Bruce a little better. Bruce always made it a point to speak to everyone that occupied the same room as him and always had a way of making you feel welcome, even if you were just a bit nervous around him. I don't think there was ever a time where Bruce wasn't smiling. He had a smile that was contagious and a heart as good as gold. He was such a free spirit and made the best of every situation. We all could learn a thing or two from this wonderful man. Bruce, you will truely be missed, but will be forever in my heart. I promise to always love and take care of your sister and Nathan. We love you Bruce!

I met Bruce for the first time this April, I remember him always with a smile on his face during the two days that I saw him. Speaking to him I had felt like I had known him for years. It seemed to me that he was one of those people who had never met a stranger. I do feel as if I had known him longer. Years ago when I first met Marsha she told me about Bruce and how special he was to her. Bruce made sure Marsha was taken care of. Marhsa I can't imagine the pain you and your family has felt this past week. I am truly sorry for your loss, I'm here for you all.

I don't even know where to begin and also about how weird and tragic this all is. I dated Bruce when I went to Aiken High School and we went to my Senior Prom together; he took me on my first motorcycle ride and only rode 15mph on that hot blue Kawasaki that's just how considerate he was. OH, indeed, was he a wild child, but I guess that's why the girls loved him so. I last saw him a year and a 1/2 ago in the Target parking lot and he was doing so well. Even though I'm married and have moved away from my home town, I'll never forget my childhood crush. Bruce was a great listener and had the kindest eyes; I'm so glad to know he knew the Lord as his personal Savior, that's all you'll ever need to know in life. The Lord has brought me further than any education or money could buy, and Bruce being the simple man that he was, more than likely came to terms with this. Rest in peace, dear Bruce. To the entire family, God Bless You and my prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all.
With Love,

I do not know what to say right now...my loss of words is filled with tears. One of my best friends, my cousin Bruce M. Hewston, Jr. died Tuesday morning. Words cannot explain how much I loved him, we were tight since we were kids. Although he was about 5 years older than me, even as kids, he would take me wherever he went.....whether it be skateboarding behind the Winn-Dixie in Aiken, or spending all day long in the summer in my grandparents pool diving off the diving board. As adults we talked to each other at least once a week or more when he was gone on one of his adventures....one day he is driving trucks across the country or moving down to Flordia to try out his bartending, he lived and loved each day of life. I was overjoyed when we were talking on the phone one night and he told me he wanted to move to Charleston. I did everything I could to make sure that happened for him and in February of this year he moved a mile down the road from me in West Ashley. I can remember the first night he got into town I took him out to meet all my wonderful friends and they loved him the moment they met him. I am so happy I got to spend so much time with Bruce this year with him living in Charleston. I am so glad I got to introduce him to my friend Leah, who he loved so much. I really don't know where the road is going to lead from here, it's hard for me to imagine my world without Bruce in it. He loved life....he partied hard....and he enjoyed every moment of it.
* Thank you to all of my friends who showed their support in that hospital and stayed with me and my family through all of this. Ya'll really showed me who my true friends are and what friends are for....it has touched my heart in a way no one will ever know. I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart..
