Mom, it's so hard to believe that you are no longer with us in this world. Your passing has been so sudden, so unexpected. Fortunately, our family and friends have come together in remembrance of you, offering their touching tributes and condolences on your passing. We were so sorry to read of Grtechen's passing. We worked with Gretchen at South Aiken High School when she was subbing in the Deaf mainstream program there in the early 2000's. Our paths crossed several times during the years when she came back to sub. She was always very caring toward the deaf students and very professional working with the interpreters. Though she was out of her "element" subbing in a deaf classroom, she gave it her best! We, the interpreters who worked closely with her, have great memories of our time together.
