Memorial services for Mr. Russell Wallace Birdsall, who died January 17, 2006, will be held at St. Thaddeus Church on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 10:30 wit Rev. Marty Conner officiating. Born June 21, 1935 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was a 1965 BA graduate from University of South Carolina and a Chi Psi brother. He retired from Factory Mutual Engineering and relocated to Aiken in 1999 becoming an active member of the community through St. Thaddeus, the ASPCA ??.. and gardening. Mr. Birdsall is predeceased by his parents; Russell Wallace Birdsall and Sarah Wilcox Birdsall; his sister, Mary B. McMurtrie; stepson, Sean O?Connell, and Toby. Survivors include brother-in-law, John T. McMurtrie; seven nieces and nephews; two step-sons; their mother, Joan O? Connell; and faithful Sadie. The Family ask in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to Aiken SPCA or St. Thaddeus Church Soup Kitchen.
