My deepest condolences, people never get over a loss, they just get used to it. Since you have lost a loved one in death, unexpectedly or not, you may wonder: 'Is it normal to grieve? How is it possible to cope w/the loss of a loved one? Will I ever see my loved one again? Deep feekubgs if gruef abd sirriw wgeb a kived ibe dies are not incompatible w/strong faith in God. Grief is the normal and natural respose to the loss of someone we love. Many bereaved ones have found that talking, writing, crying and just being patience, for you may feel that you are on a emotional roller coaster. Remerber that you do not have to be ashamed of your tears. Many faithful individuals have found that shedding tears of grief is a normal and necessary part of the healing process.
Last but not least, the Bible tells us: "Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you." James 4:8 One of the principal ways to draw close to God is through prayer. Do not underestimate its value! The Bible makes this comforting promis: "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." Psalm 34:18 It also assures us: "Throw your burden upon Jehovah Himself and He Himself will sustain you." Psalm 55:22 Think about this. Many have found it helpful to talk about their feelings w/a trusted friend. Would it not be even more helpful to pour out your feelings to the God who promises to comfort our hearts?--2Thessalonians 2:16,17.

Monday, June 9, 2008
Dear Julie, Chip, and Benjie,
Bob and I would like to say that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We would also like to say how very much we enjoyed having Tommy as a friend. We first got to know him well at Heritage Cleaners. He was the most cheerful person we had ever met. I think I got my clothes dirty just to go and see him. He always had a funny story to tell and would tease me about wearing my dinner on my white suits. I am sure he is entertaining in heaven. While I know you all will miss him, as our former pastor Dr. Rivers, used to say,"Dry your eyes for one of God's most choice children has gone home."
Love,
Martha and Bob Cathcart
