Dear Fred ~ My heart is sadden by the news of your passing. My thoughts of you go beyond just being a co-worker. Many times I came to you for advise and looked to you for guidance. You always made me & the other ladies in the office feel thought about, whether it was with a serenade on Valentine's Day or a Holiday Card thanking us for our assistance throughout the year. Your family was everything to you and Miss Ginny was your world. I hope she will find peace knowing that she is right where you want her to be until you meet again. You will be greatly missed and I will remember you always. Until I see you again my friend may you rest easy <3

Fred was my mentor, teacher, boss, colleague, and friend for most of my adult life. In the first year that we knew each other, as Fred was trying to teach me my job, we butted heads many times. I was too young to know how dumb I was but Fred stuck with me and continued to work with me. What he was trying to teach me eventually soaked through and Fred and I became lifelong friends. I continued to learn from Fred, just by observing him. It was a wonderful way to learn, just following his example. He taught me so many things, not just about work but about life. I believe I am a better person, a better Dad and a better friend to all because of his influence.
I always loved the stories he shared with me. (did he really run into the only tree in that field?) He could always make me smile with those stories. I'll never forget that trip to Rio. Ginny, do you remeber that crazy cab ride at night? I sure do! How about our trip to the Stern's jewelry factory?
My heart aches now. I have lost a great friend. Rest in Peace my friend. You may be at rest but your legacy lives in my heart!
Ginny, Jim and Pat, you are all in my prayers.
