Thank you so much Toni. I just can't tell you how much it means to hear from someone who knew our sweet Mrs. Dorothy in her younger years. She spoke many times of how she loved to sew. We loved her telling us stories about her life with Bud and Kathy. Today we will have her memorial service and I look forward to sharing this memory. God Bless you.
It was an honor to have know Dorothy. I had the pleasure of being one of the few people whom Lois thought it not robbery to allow me to sit with her as she faced one of the many challenges in her life. I loved her energy and her spirit. She was such a sassy and classy lady. Dorothy will always be a shining star in my eye. God bless her soul!
Dorothy (& Bud) were close friends of my parents........Dorothy and my dad worked together.......and Kathy married my stepbrother in 1968. I was 4 years old and the flower girl in their wedding. The bridal store wasn't able to get a dress in my size to match the bridesmaids dresses. So Dorothy made my dress to match..........perfection!! I still have it! She was a very skilled seamstress !! She made my Barbie dolls dresses out of her material scraps. I had "one of a kind" gowns for my dolls made with love from Dorothy!! She was "one of a kind"! Condolences to her adopted family.
