Aiken, SC-A memorial service for Mr. Raymond Gerard Lewis will be held Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 3 PM at George Funeral Home, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Father Gade Show Reddy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis, 59, of Aiken, SC, husband of Mrs. Rose Lewis, and father of Michael Lewis, Edgefield, SC, died Sunday, night, July 7, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born and raised in Dorchester, MA, a son of the late Raymond S. Lewis and the late Elizabeth Ballou Lewis, he had lived in Aiken, SC, since 1987, where he owned and operated Lewis Services, a Landscaping and small home repair service. Prior to coming to Aiken, SC, he and his family lived in New Jersey, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. Second only to his family and friends, Mr. Lewis loved the ocean and all it provided.
In addition to his wife Rose and son Michael, nieces, Pat Fall, Quincy, MA, Betti Lovullo, Pawleys Island, SC, Mary Rose Collett, Hanover, MA, and Julie Marin, Manchester, CT; nephews, Ray Ahern, Proctorsville, VT, Jack Ahern, Long Grove, IL, Gerry Ahern, Glastonburry, CT; and Larry Lavery, Milton, MA; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, survive.
