I loved spending time with this sweet lady in the library at Aiken High & helping her out was always a pleasure! She truly loved what she did & was so good at giving encouragement & advice when I needed it the most! I know she will be dearly missed by her loved ones. To the Dear Bryson Family, I knew Mrs. Bryson at Kennedy Middle School (1980-1984) and she was a bright light for me I loved her dearly. God only chooses the best and he really did. We moved to Aiken when the "Bomb" plant was being constructed and moved/lived in New Ellenton about mid-1951. We rode the school bus to Aiken High and would pick up the Johnson kids about half way to town. Claire was always so nice to these kids that had invaded their town. She was a year ahead of me at AHS and was so helpful in getting us settled into our new community and school. She was a very nice person all around.
When I returned to Aiken after 55 years away and started going to Millbrook Baptist, we renewed our friendship and attended Dent's Sunday School (Saint's Alive) Class.
I will always have the fondest memories of Claire. I know that she has gone directly into heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God have a special place for people like her. We wull see her again someday! Until then, may God bless her and her family in their sorrow, knowing that she will be looking out for them still.

I remember Claire and her family in the 50' and 60'. A wonderful strong Southern family.
Claire was truly a Southern lady that was full of charm, wit and brains. Always enjoyed hearing her Southern voice. She inspired many of us to be better people. Thank you

Claire and I became "bestest" of friends from day one in the first grade at Talatha Hawthorne Grammar School. We remained best friends throughout her life, I will miss her so very much.
