Shelia & Family,
I thank the Lord that I had the honor of knowing this compassionate and kind man. Rick ALWAYS had a beautiful smile on his face. He only had good things to say. Truly a rare treasure to all who knew him. When I think of what a Christian is.....I see Rick and all that he stood for in this life and beyond. Bud and I share the loss with you, his family, his church, the children of Aiken County, and all of his friends. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul! Rick represented the true meaning of what it means to live for God. Along with you, Bud and I will never be same without Rick in our lives. We love you Shelia.

Your loss is great, but God will comfort.
My fondest memory of Rick is when he was Santa at one of the Therm-O-Disc parties. They picked the best man for the job, because of his joyful dispostion. He always seem to have a smile on his face. He will be missed!

Dear Mrs. Sheila , I am so sorry to hear of what has happened to Mr. Rick. I remember growing up just down the hill my mom still lives on the corner. Mr.Rick has helped her a time or two in the past. Our very deepest condolences to all of your family. We have known Rick for the last 30 years. Even though we in the same line of business,there was never any animonisities between us. Infact, Rick would come to our store if he needed a part,and we always tried to help each other out. Rick was always such a kind sweet mannered person. He will truly be missed by so many people. The most important thing is that his faith made him the wonderful man he was, and now he is Home with his Savior. We pray for your family and understand how difficult it to lose someone so dear. Shelia,you have been in my thoughts and prayers since reading of Rick's passing. I have relived our conversation of last Tuesday morning and all I can say is- Doesn't God work in mysterious ways?
Surely Rick was enjoying his mountain retreat when the Lord called him home. I was having an MRI today at the exact time of the funeral so I had thirty minutes to be with you in prayer.

I am sorry for Mr. Rick's family, but I know that we will see him in heaven one day. He was a servant for Christ. He was someone that was a servant of Christ instead of a servant of men just like in Galations 1:10 which is the verse that I live by. Mr. Rick led me and many others to Christ and I will never ever forget him. He is a role model to me. Sorry that I was unable to attend the funeral or visitation but I have much doing with college and test. My deepest regards go out to you. He was a wonderful Godly man.
