Funeral services for Mr. Julius Thomas ?J.T.? Rhoden will be held Sunday, September 26, 2004 at 3 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC with Rev. Jack Hasty officiating. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the funeral home. Mr. Rhoden, 82, of Aiken, SC, husband of over fifty years to the late Mrs. Jimmie B. Rhoden, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Langley, SC, a son of the late Thomas and Ada Belle Holley Rhoden, he was a graduate of Richmond Academy and attended Augusta College. J.T. was a World War II veteran who proudly served his country as Sgt. in the 8 th Air Force Bomber group. He retired as an agent with MetLife and was a member of Aiken?s First Baptist Church. A son Thomas T. and his wife Tracy Rhoden, Lawrenceville, GA; step-daughter, Gina and her husband Ansel Bridges, Clearwater, SC; and grandchildren, James and Chloe Rhoden and Russ Bridges, survive. The family has asked that memorials in memory of J.T. be made to the American Cancer Society. P.O. Box K., Aiken, SC 29802.
