Imagine 102 flames on 102 candles in one of our Mother's "colors" and it would signify what would have been her 102nd Earthly birthday today! There were a LOT of Octogenarians at The Presbyterian Home where she and Dad happily resided the last 8 1/2 & 5 years of their long married lives together, respectively. They went early enough to really enjoy all that was offered and as Dad said, "early enough to make friends. That is very important." They knew a good number of people from our Home church that were in that particular PCH already but making new friends and attending outings, playing games, lively conversations and regular dinner table friends were so great! Happy Birthday, Mother. You always gave us ALL such nice birthdays-everything done to a "t" (and labeled!) and we ALL appreciated your talent, effort, planning, love and enjoyment of what you had created for everyone. So, thank you. And I miss you. We all do. With so much love from your elder daughter, Terri Spencer (Williams) xo

Hi Mom. I think of you so often. It still happens, with you and with Dad, for me, even after these accumulating years since I've seen either one of you in the flesh, I catch myself thinking, "Oh, I have to call Momma and ask her about"--whatever it may in that moment. Usually something creative or people or business related-lots of times it is something I want to make or do for the house and you were always so good with your "Martha Stewart gene", as Betsy calls it, that you have! I thought that was sweet, didn't you? I hope you and Daddy are doing something that is just swell- to speak in the vernacular of y"all's "hey-days." Just the other day I was watching The African Queen and was remembering that it was on tv at the lady's house who was doing the fitting on the gorgeous heirloom gown from you that I wore. The African Queen was on at her house and I became engaged with it again-still holds up- and I thought of you and that night- just like that. I remember thinking, "Am I going to miss the end of movie before we get home or see it there?" Funny how one remembers certain events, people, etc. I believe that you all could know what is going on here if you have a mind to-I do believe the Lord allows that sometimes when it is "meet and right so to do." So if there's any extra good word you can put in for us, I thank you! Tell Everyone hello and give them all big hugs and kisses from me! Just needed to reach out and touch base-I know this is kind of goofy- but then again, it helps me. Taking that into consideration, I rescind my goofy remark. Bet you are laughing at this right now-if you know this, I know you would be. And Momma, I can see your face with that particular kind of laugh-look on it and I still can hear your voice. I will see you later. Much Love, Terry xo

This is the anniversary of you going to join Daddy! I hear he worked hard to get you to recognize him but he did it. Dad would/ve gone anywhere and done anything for you. You knew that and we did too. I hope you are having a wonderful time with all the loved one's that went before- and after- you. Jenna's been there a while now. This seems a bit goofy to do but it helps. So, I'll do it. I love an miss you and we speak your name. Rest now, in peace and whatever else you want or need. At least, I believe that is how "it" works. You've solved the great Mystery. One day we'll all be there and then the circle be unbroken, bye and bye Lord, bye and Bye. Love, your daughter, Terry xo

Hello, Mom. It's coming' on Christmas, their cutting' down trees...just part of a song I thought I'd "sing" for you. You always made Christmas so beautiful! But then, you made every place we, or just you and Daddy lived so beautiful! Then others followed suit. But you were the impetus! Like your adoring Brother said, "Frances never met an organization she couldn't improve." I'm so glad you are there together with him and with Daddy and all the one's that "got" there! I imagine you could have Christmas everyday if that is what you wanted! It's harder at the holidays. We miss those who went on ahead a lot-even if they had a long, fruitful, productive life like you and Dad did here. But just so's you know, we ALL miss you ALL very much. Give our Darling Jenna hugs and kisses from us-Lord, we miss her mightily, Mom! We will see you all, in the sweet bye and bye. I love you all. Your daughter, Terri Spencer-Williams

We are so very sorry for the loss of the Spencer family. The loss of a loved one is never easy to endure. We can draw comfort from God's words in the bible at Rev. 21:3,4. All mourning, pain, and death will be done away with. We have the hope to see our loved ones again in the future.

Dear Spencer Family,
So very sorry to hear of Mrs. Spencer's passing. So many wonderful memories of both Mr. and Mrs. Spencer while I was growing up in Aiken so many years ago. They always had a smile on their faces, a word of encouragement, along with a heartfelt hug. I will always think of them with fondness and know they will always hold a special place in my heart.
