Funeral services for Jack Randall Hayes will be Monday June 9, 2008 at 11am from the Chapel of George Funeral Home and Cremation Center 211 Park Avenue SW Aiken with Rev. Dr. Fred Andrea officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8pm. Pallbearers will be Joshua Britton, Drew Britton, Jim Britton, Lance Alexander, Roger Barranco and Keith Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Thomas and Bill Collins. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd, Augusta GA 30904. Mr. Hayes, 69, of Wagener, died Friday night at his home, with his loving wife and family at his side. Jack was born in Fayetteville, WV, a son of the late Drury Alec and Ruth Alexander Hayes. He served his Country in the United States Army and then worked at the I.A.P World Services at Ft. Gordon, GA where he had been an Engineering supervisor for over thirty eight years, He loved his family, hunting, fishing, boating, camping and any outdoor activity. In addition to his parents Jack was predeceased by three brothers and seven sisters. Jack is survived by his wife of forty six years; Carol Hayes, Wagener, his two children; Connie James Britton, Aiken and Tracie Hayes and her life's partner, Lance Alexander, Denver CO, two sisters; Sarah Popp, Dundalk, MD and Nadine Barranco, Ft Lauderdale, FL, one brother; Bill Hayes, Baltimore, MD, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
