Funeral services for Mr. Roy Alan Jacobs will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at 6:30 pm, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. John E. Wertz officiating. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be: Chris Rogers, Max Lauritzen, Paul d?Entremont, Norman Suhs, Dan Lambert, Mike Kirkland, Terry Ingle, Tim Ingle and Doug Ingle. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Aiken, SC 29801 or Hitchcock Hospice 690 Medical Park Dr. Aiken, SC 29801 Mr. Jacobs, 55, of Aiken, died Saturday February 22, 2003 at his residence. The son of Colonel Marvin L., US Army, Ret. and Mary Ryerson Jacobs, he was born in Albuquerque, NM and before moving to Aiken in 1985, had lived in Hendersonville, TN. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN. Mr. Jacobs was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had served as Chairman of the organ committee for ten years. He was also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. For the last 32 years he worked for Westinghouse and had achieved the title of Senior Fellow Engineer. In addition to his parents of Memphis, TN, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Suhs Jacobs, Aiken, two daughters; Lisa Michelle Jacobs, Aiken and Lori Ann Jacobs Rogers, Cummings, GA, and a sister, Anne Jacobs Ingle, Bolivar, TN.
