My deepest condolences to WC’s family and friends.
Every now and then someone comes along who leaves an indelible mark upon one’s soul. WC was such a person for me. He was one of the first people I met when my wife and I moved to Aiken. He welcomed me and made me feel at home. We broke bread together many times and our last meal together was this past Easter Sunday, which celebrates the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that I will break bread again with WC after my earthly journey is over and the next step of my journey begins. Keep a seat ready WC, I is coming!

It seems as if I've known WC my entire life even though we met less than 4 years ago. In that short time, WC affected my life in a very positive way. He was always there for a friend and always had an amusing story or joke to bring on a smile or a laugh. We can all rest assured that he is now in a better place "cracking jokes" at the really big meeting in the sky. I hope he'll be saving a seat for me also.
God Bless, and care for, WC. A terrific, honest and genuine guy who freely gave to others thus making the world a much better place.

WC—that’s all the ID needed by many who knew and loved him. He will be remembered. WC and I shared a number of interests and we often had occasion to talk. We had a number of common friends. Whenever the time was right and discussions were in order, no conversation was considered complete until WC had weighed in. Whatever he had to say was worth hearing whether you agreed with him or not. Perhaps this was due to his apt use of humor in supporting his arguments. WC was the kind of guy who could shout “thirty-one” in a crowd and bring on waves of laughter. Like I said, he will be remembered. And, I’ll miss him.

My heart is heavy with the loss of WC. It's hard to think that I'll never see him or hear one of his goofy jokes again. He always had a joke. But he also always had a kind but honest word & he wore life like a loose garment. He never took himself too damn serious. Farewell my friend, save me a seat at the big meeting in heaven. I love you.
