Local Funeral services for Wayne Nelson Humpherys will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, Aiken, SC. A memorial service is scheduled May 29, 2002 in Twin Falls, Idaho under the direction of White Funeral Home at 3:00 pm. Mr. Humpherys, 55, of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday May 21, 2002 at his residence. A son of the late Henry Clem & Rose Ella Nelson Humpherys, he was born in Montpelier, Idaho and had lived in Pocatello, ID before moving to Aiken last August upon getting married.
He was currently working as an insurance agent for AFLAC. He had worked as a managing insurance agent for 17 years for Farm Bureau in Idaho. Mr. Humpherys played college basketball in Canada, then graduated from Idaho State University in 1973. After college he coached high school basketball & golf at several Twin Falls, ID area schools for 16 years. He was also a former little league coach in Coeur d? Alene, ID. He loved to work in his gardens and he was an accomplished golfer.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Humpherys is predeceased by a sister, Anna Ruth Lowe and a brother Roger Humpherys. He is survived by his wife Tiajuana Cochnauer his second chance, Aiken, SC; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Rossetti, Boise, ID & Amanda Lee Frink, Eugene, OR; two sons, Randy Wayne Humpherys, Twin Falls, ID and Brady Ben Humpherys, Coeur d? Alene, ID; a brother Ray Humpherys, Montpelier, ID and two sisters; Mary Jo Aland, Soda Springs, ID and Jane Michaelson, St. Charles, ID. Mr. Humpherys is also survived by one grand daughter, Grace Amanda Rossetti and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was anticipating the birth of his first grandson this summer.

My dear Tiajuana, I am greatful that you came back into my life. Today represents only the start of a wonderful fulfilling life together. You make me happy, you make me laugh and you make me feel secure in our love for each other. I promise to be at your side as we walk through life and I will strive to support you and help you in your endeavors. I will be your mate in good times and bad.
